Any piece created with our ceramic clay requires professional firing in a kiln to become waterproof and (depending on the glaze used) food-safe. In the kiln, your piece reaches a temperature between 2167-2205° F (way hotter than your home oven!), so you’ll need to visit a professional pottery studio for help.
Each studio sets their own rates, but you can expect to pay between $10-$25 to fire the amount of clay in the 1-2 person kit.
